Roman Ghale

Roman is a truly hospitality person began his career at age of 19. He has a passion to provide quality F&B service. Throughout his journey, Roman has worked under several prestigious international hotel brand including Mandarin Oriental and Swire Hotels Group in Hong Kong.

Committing to provide a personal hospitality experience, Roman decided to open Hemingway inspired experimental cocktail bar “THE OLD MAN” - HK together with his partners in 2017.

Roman now is one of the Co-founders of The Hong Kong most dynamic and upbringing beverages spot “PENICILLIN”, and it is Hong Kong’s first sustainable bar with closed loop model of production.

Agung Prabowo

Originally from Jakarta, Agung has always aspired to be a bartender by profession. Throughout the span of his career, he has entered numerous bartending and cocktail making competitions around Asia, leading him to a stream of accolades such as the champion at the International Bartender Association in 2007 and placing top ten out of 87 countries while representing Hong Kong in the 2008 World Flairtending Competition.

A force to be reckoned with, Agung Prabowo is a lauded mixology genius with a plethora of experience in the beverage industry and unparalleled bartending knowledge. Throughout his career, he has lent his expertise to internationally acclaimed bars and hotels around Asia.

In 2020, the daily disposal of Municipal Solid Waste at landfills reached 1.44 kg/person in Hong Kong, higher than most major cities in the world. To combat climate change, it is imperative that cities start promoting resource-saving as well as waste reduction and recycling. MSW Charging is the centre of the EPD waste reduction strategy. However, the road to prepare for the new legislation, especially where the Hospitality sector is concerned, is far from paved. High surging community demand for good quality and safe agricultural products directs the popularity and the awareness of organic choice, especially under covid pandemics. However, the expansion of the organic market here in Hong Kong is mixed with misconception and confusion since there is no organic labeling regulation being established. False declaration of organic products is becoming ubiquitous. Therefore, the mission of Hong Kong Organic Resource Centre is to promote local organic agriculture and educate the public about organic certification. In this presentation, we will provide an update of the local organic market based on our latest consumer survey carried out early this year.

The standard of ISO 14021:2016 Environmental labels and declarations — Self-declared environmental claims, specifies the requirements for self-declared environmental claims, including statements, symbols and graphics, regarding products. Miss Joanne Cheung started as a registered pharmacist in Hong Kong and is a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain. She has extensive experiences in health, beauty and pharmacy industries and covered operational, sales & marketing roles in her career.

She then set up a pharmaceutical trading company for medicine and health supplements. She is the Managing Director of these two companies, which involves formulating and implementing company policies.

She is currently the President of Hong Kong Health Food Association. She works closely with the government to ensure strict control of the safety and quality of health supplements, and foster the well-being of the public. She also facilitates collaboration with statutory government agencies to explore industrial opportunities in the new normal and expand industrial development in local, the Greater Bay Area and other countries.
